Months after the release of Shazam !, and with its continuation already receiving a debut date, the hero was once again featured in the media through a message from his own social media interpreter.
In a post to your account on Instagramactor Zachary Levi recalled the fact that 2 years ago he was moving to the city of Toronto for the filming of the DC feature film. However, the highlight was largely due to the text delivered by the actor.
The star revealed in the content that the role of Shazam! has completely changed your life, highlighting being the greatest gift of your career. He also thanked the many involved in the project.

“This past year has been fascinating. The last few years, in fact. Today, exactly two years ago, I was moving to Toronto, Canada, to start working at Shazam! Which proved to be one of the greatest gifts I have ever received. Ironically, four months before that, I didn't know if I wanted to continue living. The goals, visions, hopes, dreams, and expectations I had for myself were always many. So much so that when I decided to look at my life a few years ago, I felt like I was failing. Failing myself, my family. Failing with the world. I didn't deserve all the love I was receiving. I didn't deserve anything I had received until that moment.
When the opportunity to audition for Shazam! Came up, I refused, because I didn't deserve such an important role. Then therapy began, and then I finally began to have a little self-love. And then this miracle happened, of getting a transformative role in my life. No doubt I will be on the journey of self-love for the rest of my life and I am very grateful for the lessons and strengths found in the darkness. I have an eternal debt to David F. Sandberg, Peter Safran, Richard Brener, and everyone at New Line Cinema, Warner Bros. and DC Comics for believing I was worthy of wearing that cover, even at a time when I was still learning to believe in myself. (Thank you Jim Lee for this amazing art. You have always been one of my favorite comic artists. And now you are my friend.) ”

This last year has been fascinating. The last few, actually. Two years ago today I was moving to Toronto, for the 4th time 3 years, to begin working on @shazammovie, one of the greatest gifts I've ever been handed. Ironically, just 4 months prior, I wasn't even sure if I wanted to live anymore. My goals, and visions, and hopes, and dreams, and therefore expectations for myself, have always been a lot. So much so that when I surveyed my life a few years back, I genuinely felt like I was failing it. Failing myself. Failing my family. Failing the world. I didn't feel worthy of the love that was around me. I didn't feel worthy of any of the things I had achieved up to that point. And, when presented with an opportunity to audition for Shazam! the first time, I turned down the opportunity as I finally didn't feel worthy of such a role. Then came therapy. Then came the beginning of finally loving myself. And THEN came the miracle that was stepping me into this life changing role. I will no doubt be on the journey of self love for the rest of life, and I am so grateful for the lessons and strength found thru the darkness. But I will also be forever indebted to @ponysmasher, Peter Safran, @rbpix, and everyone at @newlinecinema and @wbpictures and @dccomics, for believing I was worthy of wearing this cape, even while I was still learning to believe that myself. 🙏 (Thank you, @jimlee, for this incredible artwork. You've always been one of my favorite comic artists. And now you're my friend. 🤯🙌)
About the movie Shazam!
“We all have superheroes inside us, just a touch of magic to bring them out. In the case of Billy Batson (Asher Angel), by uttering a single word – SHAZAM! – this 14-year-old orphan could become the adult superhero Shazam (Zachary Levi) courtesy of an ancestral wizard (Djimon Hounsou). Still a child at heart, but now with a god-shaped piebald body, Shazam does what any teenager would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have x-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning from his hands? Can he get rid of the tests in high school? Shazam tests the limits of his abilities with the cheerful recklessness of a child. But he will need to master his powers quickly to face the deadly forces controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Silavana (Mark Strong). ”
Shazam's solo movie! now available on Blu-ray and DVD.
