Russia has seen an increase of 232 deaths from covid-19 in the past 24 hours, the largest increase since measures against the new coronavirus were applied.
In total, 4374 people died of covid-19 since March 1, in Russian territory.
The previous record was 174 deaths in 24 hours, a balance of victims that occurred both on Thursday and 26 May.
The head of health services in Russia, Anna Popova, warned that the number of deaths from covid-19 was going to register an increase, taking into account the new contagions.
The Moscow region, the epicenter of the Russian pandemic, has 76 deaths in the last 24 hours, totaling 2,300 deaths.
In addition to the capital, death figures (according to daily balance sheets) are of particular concern in Dagestan, the northern Caucasus.
In the last 24 hours, 8527 new cases of contagion from covid-19 were confirmed in 84 of the 85 regions nationwide.
The total number of infections in Russia reaches 387623 cases.
Globally, according to a report by the AFP news agency, the covid-19 pandemic has already claimed more than 357,000 deaths and infected more than 5.7 million people in 196 countries and territories. More than 2.2 million patients were considered cured.
