Make Your Choices and Take Action – Live Your Own Life

Life is about choices, and the decisions we make life is like a road.

There are long and short roads; smooth and rocky roads; crooked and straight paths. In our experience, many ways would appear on our journey through life. Some trails lead to a life of bliss, marriage, and religious vocation.

Some paths lead to fame and fortune, on the one hand, or isolation and poverty, on the other.

There are paths to happiness, as there are paths to sadness, paths to victory, and joy and paths that lead to defeat and disappointment.

Like any road, there are corners, detours, and crossroads in life. Perhaps the most challenging way you would find is a crossroads. With four paths to choose from and with limited knowledge of where they would go, which road you would follow.

What is the guarantee that we would choose the right road along the way? You would take a trail or just stay where you are: in front of a crossroad, there are no guarantees.

You don’t know where a road will take you until you make it. There are no guarantees. This is one of the most important things you need to understand about life.

Nobody said that choosing to do the right thing all the time would always lead to happiness. Loving someone with all your heart does not guarantee that they will be returned.

Earning fame and fortune does not guarantee satisfaction. Taking a kind word from an influential superior to interrupt your trip quickly is not always a bad thing, especially if you are highly qualified and competent. There are many possible results that you cannot really control.

The only thing you have power is about the decisions you will make and how you would act and react to different situations. Wrong decisions are always in hindsight.

If you knew you were making a wrong decision, you would have agreed to this. Maybe not, why would you choose an absolute path when you know it would leave you lost?

Why make a confident decision if you knew from the beginning that it is not the right way.

Only after making a decision and reflecting on it do you realize its solidity. If the consequences or results are right for you, you have decided correctly. Otherwise, your decision was wrong.

Take the risk: decide. Since life offers no guarantee and you would never know that your decision would be wrong until you make it, then it is better to take a chance and decide.

It is better than staying in limbo. Although a wrong turn can make you lose, it could also be that this change could be an opportunity for an adventure, besides, to open more roads. It’s all about perspective.

You have the choice between being a lost traveler or an accidental tourist of life. But be careful not to make decisions at random. Taking risks is not being careless and stupid. Here are some tips that can help you choose the best option at the crossroads of life: Get as much information as possible about your situation.

You don’t find the confidence to decide when you know so little about what you are facing. Like any reporter, ask the 5 Ws: what, who, when, where, and why.

  • What is the situation?
  • Who are the people involved?
  • When did this happen?
  • Where is this leadership?
  • Why are you in this situation?

These are just a few of the possible questions to ask to learn more about your situation.

This is important. Often, the reason for indecision is the lack of information about a situation. Identify and create options. What options does the case offer you?

Sometimes the options are few, but sometimes they are numerous. But what do you do when you think the case offers no alternatives. This is the time when you create your own.

Make your creative mind work. From the simplest to the most complicated, entertain all ideas. Don’t shoot anything when a plan comes to mind.

Sometimes, the most outrageous idea may be the right one in the end. You can ask a friend to help you identify options and even make more options if you have any difficulties, but be sure to decide for yourself in the end.

Weigh the pros and cons of all options.

Evaluate each option, noting the advantages and disadvantages it offers. That way, you get more insight into the consequences of that opportunity. Trust yourself and make that decision. Now that you’ve evaluated your options, now it’s time to trust yourself.

Remember that there are no guarantees, and those wrong decisions are always in retrospect. So choose to believe that you are selecting the best option right now.

Now that you have decided to be ready to face its consequences: good and evil. It can take you to a place of promise or land of trouble.

But the important thing is that you chose to live your life instead of remaining as a passive spectator or audience in your own life. Whether it is the right decision or not, only time can tell.

But don’t be repent, whatever the outcome. Instead, learn from him and remember that you always have a chance to make better decisions in the future.
