Samsung's new smartphone launches, the Galaxy S11 and Galaxy Fold 2 were scheduled to take place on February 18, just before the MWC 2020 technology fair. Now, a new rumor points out that the South Korean company should move ahead. launching its products, which, as usual in the smartphone industry, may give the manufacturer a market advantage.
The new rumor states that the new launch event of the Galaxy S11 and Galaxy Fold 2 will be held on February 11. The new information comes from an Israeli website called "G-rafa". If the information on the site is true, Samsung would be advancing in a week the release of its new smartphones.
Supposed smartphone display keeps a front camera notch and will arrive sooner
The market advantage of announcing products in advance of MWC 2020 is that it can be put up for sale before its competitors. Brands such as Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, OnePlus and LG, for example, should make big announcements of new models during the fair. The "flagship" devices of mobile manufacturers usually appear in the first half of the year.
The Galaxy S11 has not yet been revealed by the company, but specifications indicate that the model has almost no edge, has 108MP camera and will bring a more "sturdy" battery. The 108MP camera is nothing new, as Xiaomi has already shipped this same specification on its top notch Mi Note 10 smartphone.
Meanwhile, little is known about the Galaxy Fold 2, but alleged images of the Samsung model have already leaked on the internet. "Ice Universe", the same site that leaked the release date of the models (February 18), also commented on the possible names of South Korean smartphones. The Galaxy S11 would actually be called the Galaxy S20, which would match the release year and also the new generation of technologies promised by Samsung.
